Gutenberg and After

Gutenberg & After is an exhibition at the Milberg Gallery of the Firestone Library at Princeton University. The exhibition held on display a rare collection of early European printing from 1450-1470. Early printing books came from the Scheide collection at Princeton and nine other institutions in the United Kingdom and North America, including Cambridge University and The Morgan Library & Museum in New York.

Exhibition Design

“This is a historic exhibition, because it brings so much together in America that hasn’t been seen before. There are both world-famous and important but less-familiar books. Combined, they tell the story of the earliest European printing in a way that hasn’t been attempted before.”
